Sound and Mind speech therapy focuses on the overall development of the Client’s skills to support their growth in becoming a independent and functional communicator.

We help address concerns in: Stuttering/fluency, receptive & expressive language, articulation & phonological disorders, Oral motor disorders, and Social skills/pragmatics. to better meet those needs, we design treatment plan of care based on the involvement of child/client led therapy, effective family coaching, neurodiversity affirming practices, evidence based & meaningful strategies, and collaboration with additional service providers and teachers as necessary.
ABOUT
Josephine peralta, ms, ccc-slp
For 10 years, Josephine has been a speech -language pathologist in the schools and private practice clinics to those with speech & language impairments, ADHD/ADD, autism, emotional disturbance, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and others. She has gained experience working with various populations, such as early intervention (1-3 year old), preschool, elementary, middle/high school, and adults. Prior to being an SLP, Josephine has also worked as a teacher in the general and special education settings.

-B.S. in Speech Pathology & audiology
-M.S. in special education
-M.S. in Speech Pathology
-licensed by the state of CA and holds a Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

when she is not working, Josephine enjoys her time with her husband, 19 year old stepson, 9 year old daughter, 7 year old son, and their maltese poodle. She loves being at the beach, hiking, dancing, exploring new places, and anything related to her favorite Kpop music group, BTS!

Receive a complimentary 15 minute phone or video consultation to discuss concerns and questions you may have regarding speech and language therapy. A screening with the client can also be completed to determine the best and appropriate steps.
